Why Did God Send Jesus to the Earth

Welcome to the “Why Did God Send Jesus to the World” article! You are apparently looking for information about why God sent Jesus to the world. In this article, I will tell you the most important reasons.

Key Takeaways

– Jesus is the final sacrifice – Without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Hebrews 9:22). Jesus ended all sacrificing by becoming the sacrificial lamb.

– Jesus came to give eternal life – By believing in Jesus and being obedient to Him, believers receive the promise of eternal life.

– Jesus frees from sin – Through the Holy Spirit, believers can live without deliberate sin and have an advocate in Jesus Christ.

– Salvation requires repentance and baptism – Repent, be baptized, and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to be freed from sins.

– Jesus demonstrated God’s love – Love is the greatest commandment, and Jesus showed the ultimate love by dying on the cross for believers.

– Jesus sent the Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit enables believers to live holy lives, perform miracles, and use gifts of grace to serve God and the church.

– Jesus defeated Satan and death – Through His death and resurrection, Jesus conquered both Satan and death on the cross.

– Not everyone will be saved – Only born-again children of God will be saved; Satan’s children love sin and death and will face separation from God.

– Jesus is King of Kings – He lived a perfect, sinless life, which only the Son of God could accomplish (Revelation 19:16).

What Was Jesus’s Most Important Mission

Jesus’s most important mission was to come and save all His own, that is, the sheep. The law states that “without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness” Hebrews 9:22. This means in practice that Jesus is the last sacrifice, and no more sacrifice is needed after that.

Jesus ended sacrificing by becoming the sacrificial lamb for all believers. Everything was actually seen beforehand even before the foundation of the world, both the beginning and the end. “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God Revelation 1:8.

Jesus is also the atoner for sins. Without Jesus dying on the cross, there would also be no atonement for sins. Jesus came to free people from their sins. Jesus died and rose from the dead.

After His death, God sent the Holy Spirit so that believers could live a Holy life and do the works that Jesus did, such as casting out demons and healing the sick. After the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, gifts of grace began to function in the church and miracles began to happen and they still happen even today.

Jesus Came So That Believers Would Receive Eternal Life

Without Jesus, there is no salvation. Jesus came to give believers eternal life. By believing in Jesus, God has promised to give eternal life. By believing in Jesus and being obedient to Him, this matter has been promised to believers. All of Jesus’s sheep are saved.

He separates the lawless from those who have lived in the law of Christ. The lawless means those who have lived in deliberate sin. Jesus is the atoner for sins, but a believer must not live in deliberate sin. God is merciful even if one lives in sin, but repentance must be made for sins. 1 Corinthians 6:9, Matthew 25:33-34. Here is the promise that all of Jesus’s sheep will be saved.

Jesus Came to Free from Sin

This clearly states that Jesus came to free people from their sins. By believing in Jesus, one receives the gift of the Holy Spirit, which makes it possible to live without deliberate sin. Matthew 1:21, 1 John 3:6. But there is also an advocate, even if one does sin 1 John 2:1.

How Then Can One Be Freed from Sins?

If you are not yet in faith, you may wonder how you can be saved from your sins? In the beginning, repentance must be made. Matthew 3:2, Acts 2:38, Acts 3:19, Revelation 3:19. When you have repented, you must be baptized (immersion baptism), which is followed by the promise that you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38. In addition, you must receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Acts 10:44–46.

Jesus Came to Show God’s Love

Jesus also came to show God’s love for His own 1 John 4:9–10. Love is the most important commandment. Matthew 22:36–40. Without love, nothing would exist. 1 Corinthians 13:1–3. All of God’s children live in love. Not because they themselves have loved, but because God loved first and in the Holy Spirit a person is able to live in love. God gives love that is greater than mere human love. In love, one can do deeds that people of the world marvel at. They cannot understand why someone can love in the way that God’s child does. Jesus’s love was the greatest because He came to give Himself for believers by dying on the cross. John 15:13.

Jesus Came to Give the Holy Spirit

As I have already mentioned, one of the most important tasks for Jesus was to make it possible for the believer to receive the Holy Spirit. Jesus promised that He would send the Holy Spirit when He died and rose from the dead. John 16:7. Without it, the church would not have been born, nor would any divine miracles have happened anymore. When He sent the Holy Spirit, the church began to grow and miracles and signs began to happen.

In the Holy Spirit there are gifts of grace that believers can use and should use. 1 Corinthians 12:8–10. With gifts of grace, believers serve the church and God. They worked back then and they still work even today. People are healed, prophesying happens and people speak in new tongues.

Be Obedient and Listen to Jesus

When you have received all these, you must be obedient to Jesus until the end of your life. Jesus has promised to speak directly to all believers John 10:27. Based on my own experience, this means that Jesus speaks directly into thoughts in such a way that you can distinguish that it is Jesus’s voice. So it is not just information obtained from the Bible but direct speech from God. It is not a physical voice, but a voice that blends into thoughts as an external thought.

Based on my own experience, hearing God’s voice does not necessarily happen in an instant, although it can happen. I myself thought I heard God’s voice even though it was not God’s voice but Satan or my own thoughts or flesh. You do get trained in it. If you have demons in you, for example, they can impersonate God’s voice. Demons must first be cast out. Matthew 10:8.

Why Did Jesus Have to Die?

Perhaps you wonder why Jesus had to die on the cross. Couldn’t God just forgive without it? No. Because Satan and death had to be defeated. Jesus defeated both on the cross. 1 John 3:8, Hebrews 2:14. God is Holy and He wants people to be holy too. Satan’s children are not holy. God makes everything perfect in heaven and in the new heaven and earth. Revelation 21:1.

Is Everything Foreseen?

God has the ability to see into the future too. He sees the beginning and the end. So He has foreseen everyone who will be saved and what will happen in the future. This is called prophesying. Prophecy will eventually cease when the new heaven and new earth come. 1 Corinthians 13:8.

Will the Whole World Be Saved?

No. Not everyone will be saved. Satan’s angels and Satan’s children will not be saved. Only born-again children of God will be saved. But Satan’s children love sin and death. All of Satan’s children want to die. Proverbs 8:36, John 8:44. So from their heart, none of Satan’s children would even want to live together with God. That is why separation happens. But what is death? There are two deaths. Physical death and then another death Revelation 2:11.

Summary

Jesus had several tasks for why He came to the world. He brought God’s love, came to save sinners and to bring the Holy Spirit. He atoned for sins and defeated death and Satan.

Jesus did His work sinlessly without errors. He lived a perfect life. This is completely supernatural and it could only be done by the Son of God. No one else could ever have done it. That is why Jesus is the King of Kings, Lord of Lords. Revelation 19:16.

If you are not yet in faith, then repent, be baptized and believe in Jesus and be obedient to Him until the end.

Thank you for reading to the end! I hope this opened up to you why Jesus was sent to the world.
