First Words

Welcome to the “Who Is the disciple that Jesus loved” article! You are apparently looking for information about which disciple Jesus loved. Short answer: John. Why John? I believe that John was the most sincere of all in faith. His heart was pure. The pure in heart will see God. Matthew 5:8. Of course Jesus loves all His sheep, but at that stage John was the most beloved, I believe. He is probably the most sincere disciple of all.

Key Takeaways

– The disciple Jesus loved the most is traditionally understood to be John, who is portrayed as pure in heart, sincere, and deeply devoted.
– Love is defined as seeking the best for another, enduring hardship, forgiving, and remaining steadfast even through injustice.
– Jesus loves all His disciples, and those who have been forgiven much often love Him the most.
– John is considered especially beloved because of his obedience, closeness to Jesus, and strong emphasis on love throughout his writings.
– Sincerity, purity, and a life with minimal willful sin are suggested as qualities that draw a person closer to Jesus.
– A believer’s background does not determine God’s love; even those with difficult pasts can experience deep transformation through God’s love.

– God not only loves but is love; all genuine love originates from Him, and His love provides complete safety and endurance.

– John serves as an example of wholehearted love and purity, showing what it means to be especially close to Jesus.

What Is Love?

Love is, in short, wanting the best for another. It endures despite storms and it forgives. Love is such a great force that it endures everything. Love binds so strongly that it does not disappear, even if one experiences injustice. Here is the biblical explanation of what love is: 1 Corinthians 13:4,5,6,7.

Who Does Jesus Really Love?

Jesus loves His church. All disciples. Paul was the greatest of sinners according to his own words, because he had persecuted the church. 1 Timothy 1:15. Based on this, Paul is actually loved the most, because the one who has sinned much and receives forgiveness loves the most. Luke 7:47.

Why Is John the Most Beloved?

John probably sinned the least. He was close to Jesus and loved God with all his heart. He did not at least commit grave sin during his entire life and was obedient throughout his life. This is also evident in John’s letters and in the gospel. John’s gospel is called the gospel of love. In John’s letters, love comes forth which he talks about. 1 John 2:10, 1 John 3:14, 1 John 4:12, 1 John 4:20. He was probably also the bravest of all, because love casts out fear. 1 John 4:18.

Details about John are not told, but He was and is an apostle. He belongs to that elite group of God, who have received the privilege to serve as God’s first apostles. I believe that the first apostles are the most beloved to Jesus of all. They are from Jewish roots and pioneers of faith. It is not clear who is the most beloved to Jesus of all, but that will become clear in eternity.

Who Does Jesus Love Most in This Time

I believe that those who are sincere throughout their lives and sin the least are the most beloved. For example, children of believing families have received Christian upbringing, so they may not commit any grave sin throughout their lives, if their parents have kept them in discipline and admonition. They receive teaching already as a child and their parents remain their shepherds right from infancy. If you are a child of a believing family and you have believing parents, you are blessed! It is a great privilege.

My Background

I myself am not a child of a believing family. My parents were alcoholics and I lived in a children’s home and in a foster family where love was missing. I did not know how to love, and I did not know what love is. Only after coming to faith did I experience love. Because my childhood was what it was, it is still sometimes difficult to believe that God would love. I do believe, of course, that God loves.

I myself committed grave sins before coming to faith and after coming to faith. Only now have I come to repentance, and I no longer want to commit deliberate sin.

Jesus loves most the one who is sincere and does not sin. If you want to be dear to Jesus, then do not commit grave sin and be obedient to Him. Pray that the Lord would speak and show how to walk in the life of faith.

Why Is Love Important?

The greatest commandment in the Bible is “love God with all your heart and with all your strength” Deuteronomy 6:5. Matthew 22:37. Love is the most important thing. If you cannot love, then pray that God would change your heart. If you pray and believe that God can change your heart, you can receive love which is supernatural. God can give love, even if you have experienced anything in your life. You may be rejected, as I was without love. Still you can receive love and you can become a completely different person.

Without love, no one is anything. 1 Corinthians 13:1,2,3. God-given love is pure and it endures. God-given love transforms a person. It does not matter what the background is, because if God changes the heart, then love ignites. The Holy Spirit keeps it in force. It is a fiery love.

God Is Love

God does not only love but He IS love. 1 John 4:8. Everything that is love comes from God. It is God’s characteristic feature. Without God there would be no genuine love. God’s love is pure and powerful. It endures everything. If you are the object of God’s love, then you are in real safety. God does not abandon those whom He loves.

Is Discipline Love?

Yes, absolutely! This is evident here. Hebrews 12:6. If children are undisciplined, then a loving parent disciplines. It is not doing evil, but love. It may feel bad to some, but its purpose is love. Therefore, undisciplined believers should also be disciplined. For the sake of love. If someone commits sin, then one should rebuke about it. It is love.

Does God Love Everyone?

No. God does not love everyone. God hates those who are not obedient to Jesus. 1 Corinthians 13:4,5,6,7. God does not cast anyone to perdition whom He loves. God hates Satan, his angels and Satan’s children. They are not obedient to Jesus. Therefore they will go to destruction.

I often wonder why some say that God loves all people. God is love, but He can also hate. If you want God to love you, then you must repent and believe the gospel. Then God begins to love. If you are not obedient to Jesus, you are not the object of God’s love.

My Own Experience of Discipline

I myself have received really hard discipline from God. Proverbs 3:11,12. I do not believe that I walked the right path and God really put me in a tight spot. Fortunately I got out of it when I repented. If you feel that you are under hard discipline from God, then be glad, for whom the Lord loves He disciplines. Repent and be obedient to Jesus, then God’s discipline will end if everything else is well. If you then fall into some sin again, then discipline can start again. But God does not discipline a believer because He would hate, but because He loves.

What to Do If You Are Not Yet in Faith?

At the end here I can tell you what you should do if you are not yet in faith. You must first repent, that is, change your mind. Then you must be baptized by immersion and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 and believe the gospel Mark 1:15. Then you should find church fellowship and be obedient to Jesus. Then you should walk in the law of Christ until the end of your life. If you are Jesus’s sheep, you will be saved!

Summary

Jesus loved John. I believe that John was the bravest, the purest in heart and the most sincere. If you want to be dear to God, then be obedient to Him and do not commit deliberate sin.

Love is the most important thing of all. Without love, no one is anything. God is love. God does not love everyone, but those who are not obedient to the Son are under God’s wrath.

If you are in faith, then walk in love. If you are not in faith, then now is the right time to come to faith and believe the gospel.

Thank you for reading to the end. Hopefully this told you the answer about which disciple Jesus especially loved.
